CIAK MigrACTION – Raise awareness about migrants’ contribution to European societies
CIAK: MigrACTION! is a project funded by the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF) 2014–2020, aimed at raising awareness and increasing understanding of the positive contribution migrants make to European society, promoting a narrative based on factual evidence and countering stereotypes.
The project focuses particularly on four EU countries—Italy, Greece, Austria, and Hungary—where public perception of migrants has significantly worsened in recent years. Coordinated by WeWorld-GVC Onlus, it involves partners such as the Municipality of Bologna, Dedalus, ActionAid Hellas, Südwind, Baptista Szeretetszolgálat, and the Municipalities of Naples, Athens, and Graz, with the support of ECCAR.
Through social media campaigns, events, training activities, and youth-led initiatives, the project aims to inform, raise awareness, and foster a constructive dialogue on migration. Over 24 months, it seeks to reach more than 1.5 million people, engaging journalists, young ambassadors, activists, and influencers to help build a more inclusive and informed society.
