UNITES – UrbaN InTEgration Strategies through co-design

The UNITES project — UrbaN InTEgration Strategies through co-design — aims to train and support staff of local administrations in the co-design of strategies for the integration of migrants, actively involving stakeholders, citizens, and migrants themselves.

Funded by the AMIF Programme – Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (Transnational Actions on Asylum, Migration and Integration), the project has a duration of 36 months and a total budget of €1,666,445.82.

Coordinated by Eurocities (Belgium), UNITES involves numerous European partners: MigrationWork (United Kingdom), New Women Connectors (Netherlands), Unitee – New European Business Confederation (Belgium), Oulu (Finland), Prague (Czech Republic), Zagreb (Croatia), Düsseldorf (Germany), Athens (Greece), Zaragoza (Spain), Grenoble Alpes Métropole (France), and the Municipality of Bologna, which participates with a budget of €89,300.06, fully co-funded by the EU.

UNITES pursues four main objectives: improving integration outcomes through shared strategies; training professionals in the field through innovative approaches and exchanges of best practices; fostering the active participation of migrants and citizens in decision-making processes; and promoting a holistic and inclusive approach to integration.
